AI in Web Design

A Bit of Algorithmic Inspiration and Some Irony
AI is becoming an unavoidable part of our lives, even in web design. But if you’re worried that AI will soon be designing all websites while human designers retire — let me reassure you (and add a bit of humor). Here’s a look at how AI helps but doesn’t replace humans in web design. And yes, this text was crafted by AI itself.
1. Artificial Intelligence and Design — Best Friends or Just Colleagues?

AI is great for tasks like generating color schemes, creating simple logos, and processing images. That’s cool, but web design isn’t just a collection of beautiful elements; it’s about creating a concept and understanding human needs. An algorithm might suggest where a button looks best but won’t tell you how a person will feel looking at the whole site.

2. Hey, AI, what if we don’t need to complicate things?

The irony is, the more complex the design, the more often simple tools are called in. Algorithms offer loads of ideas, but sometimes the best solution is the simplest. If your site is working and is user-friendly — "if it ain’t broke, don’t fix it," as they say. After all, "design for design’s sake" doesn’t quite work, even in the world of AI.
Algorithms offer loads of ideas, but sometimes the best solution is the simplest.
3. When Should You Use AI?

In truth, AI excels at handling routine tasks: adaptive testing, gathering user data, A/B testing. If something boring can be automated, why not? But when it comes to the project’s "soul," concept, and emotional impact, AI still has some catching up to do.

4. Does AI Have a Sense of Style?

Good question. AI learns from existing examples, so it loves to "copy." But did you ever want to create a website that looks like all your competitors'? Probably not. AI is perfect for "mass solutions," but if you’re looking to create something unique and personalized, there’s no substitute for a real person.
If something boring can be automated, why not?
The Bottom Line: AI and Designers Are Allies, Not Competitors

AI helps automate, simplify, inspire — but not replace. Yes, it can generate texts, but that doesn’t mean it understands them. Maybe one day we’ll trust AI to create a full design from scratch, but for now, we’ll leave it with the less "soulful" tasks.

This site was made for local epilation studio. They needed to expand their client base so we made a page with a full information: common questions, prices, and online bookings through an integrated widget. Also the website has two different designes: men's section features a bold, dark aesthetic, while the women's section offers a light, gentle look. So the company can make two absolutely different advertisement campaigns.
